Reader Spotlight: 'Why Don't Tailgaters Get Pulled Over?'
Largo Patch highlights interaction with our readers. Today, it's a reader's comment about tailgating and how many crashes are caused by drivers following too closely. Do you agree?
Potter said that no one mentions crashes caused by drivers following too closely. He wrote that:
"It seems law enforcement has let that slide. I am tailgated regularly by other drivers, often to the point where I have to pull into a turning lane or turn into a street to avoid getting hit from behind. I never see these tailgaters getting pulled over for following too closely. I drive West Bay Drive and Indian Rocks Road primarily, BUT it doesn't matter where I go, there will be a driver right up on my bumper."
Do you agree with Potter? Do you get tailgated by other drivers? Is it a problem on Largo's streets? Join in the conversation and read the rest of Potter's thoughts by posting in the comments section of this story.
