Police: 'Jealous' Man Throws Woman into Wall
A Largo man was arrested Jan. 5 on the charge of aggravated domestic battery, police report.
A Largo man is accused of allegedly throwing a woman into a wall, which reportedly caused a "deep" cut over her left eye and took off part of her eyebrow, according to Largo Police.
According to the victim's statement in the arrest affidavit, James Dale Cox, 40, of Largo, "threw (the victim) into a wall because she wanted to go out with friends and (Cox) had jealousy issues."
The "deep" estimated 1-inch cut, "also took off part of her eyebrow, which will require stitches," police report.
When Largo Police questioned Cox, he denied touching the woman and reportedly told them the woman "fell in the bedroom on an uncovered outlet due to her level of intoxication," police report.
Police reported there was no blood on the wall where Cox claimed the woman fell and the "victims injuries were consistent with being forcefully thrown into the wall, not a simple fall onto an uncovered outlet," according to an arrest affidavit.
Cox was arrested Jan. 5 on the charge aggravated domestic battery. He was awaiting trial in Pinellas County Jail as of Jan. 7. Total bond was set at $25,000, according to online sheriff's records.
