Phone Books in the trash.
A pile of phone books sits in the back of a pickup truck during a press conference on February 1, 2011 in San Francisco. San Francisco became the first city in the nation to ban unsolicited delivery of phone books.

Have you gotten the latest phone book yet?

While new ones are being delivered throughout the area, don't just throw out the old one.

Phone books are recyclable, and Largo residents can place their them in their blue bin for collection.

To stop getting paper phone books, visit www.yellowpagesoptout.com and customize or discontinue deliveries.

Recyclables can also be taken to either of Largo's recycling centers at 1551 Starkey Road and 5140 East Bay Drive (behind the Office Depot).

Have questions about recycling? Call Largo Recycling at (727) 586-7424
