Oktoberfest at Largo's First Friday

Celebrate Oktoberfest in downtown Largo at First Friday. There will be over 13 Oktoberfest beers on tap at O'Shy's, German beer pretzels, German sauerbraten, bratwurst and pierogies and more.

Celebrate German Bavarian culture tonight at Largo's First Friday Oktoberfest. 

The block party on Clearwater-Largo Road and 1st Avenue S.W.in downtown Largo from 6-11 p.m. will have about 40 vendors selling everything from trinkets to staple German foods like beer pretzels, saucerbraten, bratwurst, pierogies, potato pancakes and more.

The block party began with a group of business owners and citizen who wanted to attract people to Largo's downtown district. They held their event in June and it's been so popular that now in it's fourth month it attracts over 800 people. 

"It's grown so much that I'm working everyday on it," said Jennifer Lantry, event coordinator.

"It's almost doubled in size," Lantry said. 

Vendors Wanted for Largo's Old Northwest Holiday Market

Lantry and Discover Largo neighborhood association is planning Largo's Old Northwest Holiday Market for last minute Christmas shoppers. The holiday market will be at Clearwater-Largo Road and 1st Avenue S.W. in downtown Largo on Dec. 17-18 from 1-6 p.m. There will be live music, food and activities for kids. 

Vendors will be selling crafts, arts, jellies and one-of a-kind gifts. Those interested in having a booth at the event contact Jennifer Lantry at (727)517-6821
