New Largo Cycle Shop Offers One-Stop Repairs

A new motorcycle repair shop offers one-stop repairs for all types of bikes.

A local man opened a one-stop bike repair shop Jan. 2 on Belcher Road, which services all types of motorcycles.

Shop Owner Dean Rugare learned how to ride a motorcycle before he could drive a car. Through his more than three decades of riding, Rugare identified the need for a good, local and independent bike shop, he said.

"I've been riding (motorcycles) for over 30 years, I wanted to turn my passion into a business," Rugare said.

The new Cycle Shop is a full-service shop, which repairs, restores, and services all types of bikes including Harley-DavidsonMetric and Euro.

A tool and dye maker by trade, Rugare can make parts for bikes. The ability to make parts, the shop cannot find will be especially useful for vintage bike repairs, Rugare said.

"I wanted to put together a shop anyone could feel comfortable coming to," Rugare said.

As the shop grows, Rugare hopes to offer good used bikes with warranties, he said.
