Man Stuffs 'A Little Coke' In Shoe While Pulled Over by Police

A "little coke" landed an 18 year-old Largo man in jail for possession of a controlled substance.

A Largo man stuffed a bag of cocaine in his shoe in plain view of a police officer then claims he only had “a little coke.”

Largo Police Officer Patrick Newbill made a traffic stop on Sunday April 24 at 11:45 p.m.  While he questioned the driver, 18 year-old John Michael Cline a passenger in the car stuffed a sandwich bag of cocaine into his shoe.

“I then asked the defendant if he had anything illegal on his person,” Newbill reported in the arrest affidavit.

Cline told the officer he had “a little coke" in his shoe.

When Cline removed his sock a sandwich bag with 9.3 grams of cocaine fell to the ground. That amount is more than two eight balls (3.5 grams of cocaine) and typically sells on the streets for upwards of $250.

Officials conducted a field test and determined it was cocaine. Cline was pulled over at the intersection of East Bay Drive and Bedford Street. This is his second cocaine offense in two months. Cline was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia on March 16.

The 'little coke' landed him back in the Pinellas County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance. He has not been released.
