Man Charged with Traveling to Have Sex with a Minor
An online chat led to the arrest of a Largo man who allegedly wanted to have "sexual arrangements involving three parties," including a 13-year-old girl, according to police.

Largo Police Detective C. Monaghan patrols the Internet for people who choose to victimize children through the use of computers, according to police.
He chatted online Monday as a part of this work with the FBI's Innnocent Images Task Force and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Monaghan used the persona of an adult mother of a 13-year-old female on Monday. During an alleged conversation with William Casey, the casual conversation turned into a sexual conversation, according to police.
"Casey eventually made arrangements and expressed a strong desire to have sexual relations with the Detective Monaghan's persona and the persona's 13 year old daughter," police said.
Through the online chat Casey arranged to meet with Monaghan's online persona at Taylor Park on June 5 around 2 p.m.
"If they were to 'like one another', they would go further with their sexual arrangements involving the three parties," according to police.
Casey arrived at Taylor Park around 2:05 p.m. on Tuesday and met with several Largo Police Department detectives.
Casey, 74, was arrested on the charges of traveling to meet a minor for sex acts and enticing a parent to consent to sex act with their minor child. Total bond was set at $40,000. He is being held at the Pinellas County Jail.
According to police, a subsequent interview with Casey revealed admissions to other sex crimes, which are decades old. These admissions are currently under investigation.

So glad that he was finally caught! My brother never believed the lewd behavior that I had to tolerate from his father-in-law at family parties! My sister-in-law kept calling me a liar, and claimed that he had changed since he had molested her as a child. I guess a leopard just can't change those spots!

Compassion for someone who allowed a child molester not only around her own kids, but risking "in-laws" children !!!! Terrible just horrible. People throw daggers at the innocent because they want to take the attention away from their very sick molester father and allow him around children. Just awful. Carrie you must not know Linna if you are questioning her character..

This is horribibe this man was allowed around children? From what I am reading we have an abused daughter who allowed this man around her own children? This women needs intense thearpy. She is not at all well and jepardizing others and should not be allowed custody of any children. Someone call socail services.
