Largo Teen Idol Nathalie Hernandez's time on reality singing competition "The Voice" has come to an end.
The 15-year-old Dunedin High student lost in Tuesday night's "battle round" competition against a 24-year-old singer named Aquile on the NBC show. The two, who were both members of the team led by celebrity judge Christina Aguilera, sang a duet of the James Morrison song "You Give Me Something."

The other judges said they were amazed by Hernandez's performance and poise.
"Imagine being 15 years old and being on that stage singing in a battle round against Aquile with cameras and lights and us four sitting here," country crooner Blake Shelton said. "It's amazing, you're so good already. I can't say it enough."
"Natalie, I mean, you're 15 years old, you've barely been alive," said Adam Levine, of the group Maroon 5. "When I was 15, I was a zit. I could not be out of the house, let alone on the stage."
Ultimately, Aguilera said it was a tough decision and told Hernandez, "There's something just so beautiful about your raw voice." Still, the pop princess picked Aquile over Hernandez to continue on in the competition.
Afterward, Hernandez said she took away a lot from working with her team's captain.
"Christina's taught me to open up my voice and to try different things, and I've just learned so many different things to do now when I sing," she said.
She also had some parting words for her new found fans:
"I'm definitely going to keep singing and I'm not going to give up, so just look out for my stuff I guess."
