Largo Police Arrest Pair of Would-be Robbers
Two suspects from Tampa on bicycles who were staying at a nearby shelter were busted after attempting an early-morning robbery on a pedestrian over the weekend.
A pair of would-be burglars who wandered away from the Pinellas Safe Harbor Shelter were apprehended and arrested by Largo police over the weekend.
Largo police arrested Omar Robinson, 34, and Gal Lynn Ericks, 26, of Tampa for robbing a pedestrian of his wallet and cigarettes at approximately 3:08 a.m. Sunday. Per the Largo police, the victim a male, was walking in the area of 16120 U.S. Highway 19 North when he was allegedly approached by Robinson and Ericks as the two suspects were riding bicycles. The suspects demanded money from the victim when they took his wallet and cigarettes.
After the victim alerted authorities. Largo police found the suspects nearby the site of the incident and the duo were arrested.
