Largo Dog Devours $275 Cash
This isn't the first time Arnie the beagle has eaten his owners' cash, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Owning a dog can be costly.
Largo residents Corey and Hope O'Kelley have found that their 10-year-old beagle Arnie really eats up cash — literally.
Arnie devoured $275 in cash in the couple's home last week, the Tampa Bay Times reports. And it wasn't easy to get to, either — $300 in bills was sitting inside an envelope, inside a wallet, inside Hope O'Kelley's purse, atop a kitchen table.
Corey O'Kelley woke last Friday to find $25 left scattered about the house. He found some of the rest later after it passed through Arnie's system and apparently had been shredded, the Times reports.
And this wasn't the first time Arnie's hunger for money has gotten the best of him — the beagle previously ate $150 the O'Kelleys has left on a coffee table, though they were able to "recover" $100 later when Arnie's digestive tract was through with it.

My neighbors dog ate $500. She was able to send in what she recovered to the U.S. Mint and they replaced it all for her. So all may not be lost in your case either. Give them a call! :)
