When developers come to Largo, they sometimes ask for waivers to the city's parking requirements.

Largo requires more parking than some area communities, according to a report by the consultants at Kimley-Horn.

Tonight the CDAB will look at a draft parking proposal and consider next steps for parking in Largo. A draft report will then be shared with the Largo City Commission at its work session on Sept. 11.

The draft parking report focuses on a variety of factors:

• Review amount of parking at multi-family complexes.
• Create a single standard way to calculate parking requirements based on building area.
• Use shared parking to help reduce the need for off-street parking.
• Explore ways to provide more on street parking especially in the community redevelopment areas.

The CDAB meets Aug. 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room of Largo City Hall.
