Largo 'Housewife' Protests Romney in Tampa
There are some protesters among the thousands showing up to see Gov. Mitt Romney in Tampa today.
Protester Alyssa Depiro of Largo showed up Gov. Mitt Romney's Tampa rally today dressed as a 1950's housewife.
The 19-year-old explained, "It's what Romney is trying to send women back to being."
Fellow protester Mike Long decided a Dark Knight Batman costume was the best outfit to wear to the Wednesday rally.
"We're out here protesting Romney's policies that favor the rich and the wealthy over the average person," said Long, 26, of Ybor City.
The costume was partly a celebration of Halloween, but also symbolic.
"I think the larger message is on Halloween Mitt Romey's policies are truly scary," he said.
Long expected about 10 more costumed protesters to join him later on Wednesday.

Ask yourself, is federal confiscation more effective than community contribution ?
Do we want to discourage charitable giving to churches, civic organizations, free clinics and various causes ?
Are people from Juno, Alaska to Key West Florida better off having a centralized national government in charge of their schools , needy & health care ?
From each according to their abilities, to each according to their needs has failed in every culture, why do so many Americans think it will work here ?
Americas strength comes from communities not Wash DC

If you all want to see what smaller government is like, just go visit a third world country. They are basically unregulated, and have little to no government service. There you will find the greatest discrepancy between the rich and the poor, which seems to be the track our country is on. Nice roads typically are only found in the richest of neighborhoods, and everywhere else they are unkept and often unsafe. Law enforcement stripped of regulatory safeguards are typically corrupt. Food products are unregulated, leading to who knows what additives or chemicals are put into the food. Employers fire older employees without cause to replace them with younger and lower earning replacements. There is no Social Security or Medicare, so seniors are forced to be supported by their relatives, and get the medical care that they can afford, if any. The hospitals are filthy. There are often people that practice medicine without a license. People burn trash, including plastic. The pollution is out of control. This is what it's like to have a small government with little to no regulation. The rich people don't really mind, but of course in most third world countries, there is virtually no middle class, only a small percentage of rich people who control all of the money, and the rest who live in poverty.
Every American who visits a third world country quickly becomes grateful for the services and regulations that we all often for granted.
