Largo Fire Rescue will be collecting this week for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
As motorists wait at lights around Largo this week, they will also have the opportunity to help the MDA. Last year, Largo Fire Rescue raised more than $10,000 for MDA with the support of the community.
MDA is a nonprofit health agency focused on finding treatments and cures for various neuromuscular diseases including muscular dystrophy, Amyotophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and related diseases.
Largo Fire Rescue's annual "Filll the Boot" campaign will be Dec. 11-13. Times will be 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the following intersections around Largo:
- East Bay Drive and Belcher Road
- Ulmerton and Belcher roads
