Gator v. Car
Facebook tells the tale of an early morning alligator crossing in Largo.
Early this morning an alligator tried to cross the road in front of Taylor Park. But the gator did not make it when a car came along 8th Ave SW at the same time. When the driver got out of the vehicle the motorist saw an alligator wedged under the car, according to the Largo Police Facebook Page.
The Largo Police Department responded to the call about the 10 foot 8 inch alligator trying to cross the roadway. The police contacted the Largo Fire Department to help get the vehicle off of the alligator. Then the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission came to take custody of the alligator, according to police.
The gator was taken away and the vehicle was undamaged, according to police.
