Fletcher's Harley-Davidson to Close This Month
The Harley dealer, in business for 48 years, is set to close by the end of August, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Bob Fletcher's Harley-Davidson is closing after 48 years in business in Clearwater, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
"Less than two months after Fletcher's death, his family-owned shop has lost its franchise," the Times writes. "By the end of the month, Fletcher's will close for good."
Fletcher's family held a memorial ride in June through Largo for him.
Laura Fletcher-Taylor, who has run the shop with her two sisters since their father retired in 1986, told the newspaper that the recession and tensions over the franchise's corporate model and budget uncertainties led to the shop's closing.
