2. Florida to Stop "No Child Left Behind' The Obama Administration approved waivers for a total of 10 states, allowing them to opt out of most of the rules of the program. The Pinellas County School Superintendent responds to the announcement that Florida would no longer need to adhere to "No Child Left Behind."
3. City Commission Community Development. Drive-throughs, senior housing, and a new apartment complex are three economic development projects the city commission considered recently. Plus, construction started on the new Highland Recreation Complex.
4. Dog Gets a New Leash on Life. Sox came to the SPCA in mid-December with a rubber band holding his mouth closed. On Feb. 10 he headed to his forever home almost completely healed.
