Five Things to Know Today: Monday, June 4

1. Any John Grisham fans? Today's Monday matinee at the Largo Public Library is based on one of his novels. Watch The Client  at 12:30 p.m. in the Jenkins Community Wing.

2. Helping Others. Would you like to help others learn to speak English? Volunteer your time and give back to the community by becoming an English Language Learning tutor.

The Largo Public Library will have Tutor Orientation and Training in the Jenkins Room. Sessions are from 6 until 8 p.m. on June 5, June 6, June 12 and June 13. Register now or call 727-587-6715 ext. 2547 for more information.

3. Garage Sale Tables. Vendor booths and garage sale tables are now available for the community sale and health expo on August 18 at the Southwest Recreation Complex. Table space costs $9, vendor booths $15. Space sells out fast, call (727) 518-8125 or email cheubel@largo.com

4. Canine Manners. See how training helps dogs at Pinellas County Animal Services find forever homes. Plus, find some dog training ideas and classes.

5. Interested in babysitting? Largo's Babysitting Above and Beyond summer camp will teach the skills needed to become a well prepared and certified babysitter. The weeklong camp, June 18-22, is for ages 11 through 13. Campers will learn diapering, feeding, first aid, rescue breathing, and proper babysitting procedures.
