Five Things to Know Today: Monday, June 18

Dreams, Coupons, Concerts, Brownfield Area, Soil Tests

 

1. Dream On. Do you ever wonder about your dreams? Learn how to interpret dreams, make your own vision boards and create dream dolls in this teen program, which covers what happens while we sleep. Tonight at 5 p.m. in the Teen Room of the Largo Public Library.

2. Couponing Made Simple. Want to save big at the grocery store without spending lots of time searching for coupon deals? Christi the Coupon Coach will offer easy organizational ideas and strategies for using coupons. The program is Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Largo Public Library in the Jenkins Community Wing.

3. Grab Your Tickets. Sales are going fast for The Zombies on July 27 and for Keiko Matsui on Oct. 13 at the Largo Cultural Center. It will be the only Florida show for the Zombies and Keiko Matsui's Largo performance sold out last year.

4. Ulmerton Road Brownfield Area.  There will be a public meeting Thursday at 5:30 p.m. to discuss a proposed Brownfield area on a four square mile swath of land along Ulmerton Road from Seminole Blvd. to Roosevelt Blvd. The meeting is at the EpiCenter, 13805 58th St. North.

5. Nature Preserve Work. Soil will be removed and tested at the Largo Central Park Nature Preserve starting this week. The work will be in the wetland area near the boardwalk observation tower. The front of the park will remain open. This phase of the work will be done by July.
