Did Same Suspect Rob Three Wells Fargo Banks?

Detectives are asking for help in identifying the suspect shown in this 'enhanced' photo.

St. Petersburg and Pinellas County Robbery Detectives are seeking the public's
help in finding the suspect who may be involved in the armed robbery of
three Wells Fargo Banks, in St. Petersburg and Largo.

Here are details on those three robberies, provided by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office and Crime Stoppers.

  • At about 1:55 p.m., on Jan. 26, 2013, following a carjacking, the Wells Fargo bank, at 3131 66th Street N., in St. Petersburg, was robbed. The suspect, whose face was covered, wore a blue hooded sweatshirt.
  • On March 15th, at around 1:45 p.m., detectives say a 4-door, dark gray 2010 Toyota Camry was carjacked near 2500 66th S. North.  Ten minutes later, the Wells Fargo Bank, at 3131 66th St. North, was robbed by a lone masked male suspect, armed with a handgun, who demanded money from the tellers. The suspect was described as a black male, late teens to early twenties, 6'0" to 6'3", 220 lbs., wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and carrying a backpack.  No one was injured, but the suspect apparently left in the same vehicle taken in the carjacking. The car was found 10 minutes later abandoned a few blocks away.
  • Most recently, on April 23rd, around 9:41 a.m., the Wells Fargo Bank located at 8700 Bryan Dairy Road in Largo was robbed by a suspect armed with a black semi-automatic handgun. The suspect pointed the gun at two bank employees and demanded money. After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the scene on foot. The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 6'2" to 6'3", roughly 190 lbs., muscular build, wearing a white jacket, a baseball cap, a mask over his face, dark pants and dark colored tennis shoes.
