Phillies fans in Largo can squeeze into the Grapefruit League season with a free intrasquad game Friday.
The game is at noon Friday, Feb. 22, at Bright House Field in Clearwater. Gates open at 10:35 a.m.
“We look forward to welcoming fans and giving them an opportunity to experience Phillies baseball with this ‘open house’ intrasquad game,” John Timberlake, director of Florida operations, general manager of the Clearwater Threshers said in a release. “It’s a great way to cheer on the Phillies before the official start of the Spring Training season.”
The Phillies open the 2013 Grapefruit League season with a game against the Houston Astros at 1:05 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23. Tickets are available online at phillies.com or by calling 215-463-1000.
