Can't Afford Medical Care for Your Kids? New Largo Clinic to Help
It's one of two new pediatric clinics in Pinellas County that will charge based on a family's ability to pay for a child's care.
Here's good news for uninsured families in Largo who can't afford to get regular and routine medical care for their kids.
Two new Pinellas County medical clinics just opened to help.
- The first is at the Pinellas County Health Department's newest center, Mid-County, located at 8751 Ulmerton Rd., Largo. Clinic hours are 2:30-5:30 p.m., Mondays and Fridays, and 8-10 a.m on Wednesdays. For an appointment, call 727-524-4410, ext. 7646.
- A twice-weekly clinic at Boca Ciega High School, 924 58th St. S.,Gulfport, is open from 2:30-5:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays. Call 727-893-2780, ext. 2199, for an appointment or before planning a walk-in visit.
The health services are for children and young people under 18. Appointments are available at both clinics. Fees are on a sliding scale based on the declared
