Beachgoers Find Cool Shells Before Isaac

Before the county issued a beach advisory, some families enjoyed time Sunday at Indian Rocks Beach.

Early Sunday afternoon the Saeger family, of Seminole, collected shells and built castles at Indian Rocks Beach.

"We came to see what it was like before Isaac, compared to a usual day at the beach. We have found lots of shells; new ones we don't usually see and no oil," said Jacky Saeger.

Further down the beach Lisa and Tracy Biondi, of Pittsburgh, were relaxing on lounge chairs. The couple comes to their townhouse in the Indian Rocks Beach area several times a year.

"For us it's OK (with Isaac coming). We come down here enough during the year. It's our first time together here for a hurricane. We hope it's not going to be too bad," said Lisa Biondi.

As of 3 p.m. Sunday, Pinellas County has advised "rough surf along the beaches may pose a hazard to bathers, and officials have advised beachgoers to stay out of the water until the threat of Tropical Storm Isaac diminishes."
