Midori Salon and Spa, a full service salon and spa in Largo is proud to announce that it has overcome the odds and will celebrate its 5^th anniversary on September 22, 2012.  Just three months after Midori’s grand opening, the worst recession in modern history started.  Amber Holland, local
businesswoman and the salon owner, shed her share of blood, sweat and tears investing in the success of a business venture at an extremely difficult time and her ingenious business model and drive to succeed even in the face of terrible odds has paid off.  "We have the right people in place and have created a truly serene and peaceful environment.  I am very proud of everyone
who has been a part of Midori's journey. I cannot express enough gratitude to my family, staff, and patrons.”

Midori has completely evolved since its inception in fall 2007. The staffing and business model has been fine tuned to create a well-oiled and thriving machine.  The salon and spa originally opened its doors with a modest 1800 square foot space and three staff members provided services to 250 patrons annually. Now, Midori has expanded its operations to 5000 square feet of building space, will have a staff of 19 by the end of 2012, provides a greatly enhanced array of services, recently became an Aveda salon, and provides hair, skin, nails, extensions, massage and waxing services to 4600 customers’ annually.

Ms. Holland comments with pride in her voice, “I give thanks to my family and staff for supporting me and Midori. I was taught to always work hard and strive to be the best. This mentality has given me the will to survive and make it! The big hurdles are over and I am excited for what the future holds!”
